Especially browsing websites like Facebook and Google talk boards..also sometimes in forums with many photos. The following screenshot (in next post) shows how much RAM firefox used after browsing a forum with many images attached. This is thee WORST I have ever seen.

Seems normal to me. Browsers are not your typical Android applications and depending on how much content you have loaded and have open in tabs is very much variable to how much memory is needed.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, but over 400MB of RAM usage??? My browsers on my PC dont even come close to using THAT much. Most on my PC was a bit over 230Mb and that was with a Flash game running. And I used to think that was a lot. This is a PHONE... it sounds like its quad buffering the data.

Hi Bruce0375

I guess this is a case of "Your Mileage May Vary" :-) . On my Windows 8 laptop and my Mac Book Air, Firefox and Chrome and Safari all use well over 400MB each.

If you don't want to use that much RAM, then you can delete your data in Firefox but then you will lose all of your bookmarks and whatever other data you choose to delete as follows:

Firefox for Android Menu | tap "Settings" | tap "Clear Private data"

Hope that helps!
