Used to get a Chinese writing pen in hk.yahoo.com, not anymore. How do I get it back?
Just redid my XP installation. In past, under hk.yahoo.com (Hong Kong Yahoo, Chinese), I'd get a writing pen next to the search box so I can write Chinese. Now, with the latest Firefox installed, I don't have it anymore. What can I do to get it back? Thanks for any help.

I just went to the website, the pen is still there. It does take a while to load though so please be patient, that being said please make sure your plugins are up to date as it may not show due to that (instructions on plugin updating are below)
Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.
I checked the plugins, saw only 3 unknown, nothing to do with the writing pen. I do not know where to "click" update, as shown in the steps to do it.... IF I just get a link.... it'd be easy. Feel so dumb. Not a first-time PC user, but.... clueless on the Firefox site. Thanks for anyone's help.
Clicking this pen opens a Flash object.
Your system details list doesn't show the Flash Player plugin for Firefox, so you will have to install Flash.
Latest Flash player versions here:
init: function() { if (YUS.isFlashVersionAtLeast(9.115)) { YUD.setStyle('pphw-triggerbtn','display','inline'); return true; } return false; }
Thanks. I had problems following the instructions. It was strange. Under IE, I installed Flash 11 (latest), and the Chinese writing pen IS there. But, when I switch over to Firefox, under the HK Yahoo page, hk.yahoo.com (same for both if I want to write Chinese), the pen was not there. Soooo, I did the dumb thing, INSTALLED FLash 11 again. Voila, the pen was now there. Guess the Plug-IN is called up separately and differently under IE and Firefox. Problem solved, the dumb way. Many thanks again.
