With FF 12.0 and 500 MB Webcache you need to wait on a modern PC about 5-10 Minutes ! to get the Cache cleared ... :(

You hear the same sound from the harddrive over and over again ... I dont need "maximum secure override clearing" .... I need fast as possible clearing of the cache ...

And no all Harddrives here by me are fine and without any error.

ASAP Pls Greets Funonline

What method were you using for clearing the cache? Was it --

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"

I only know one option - Tools -> Options --> Advanced --> Network --> Cached Web Content --> Clear now

Result : FF give you no response or whatever for the next 5-10 minutes. Also you see FF in the Taskmanager with the Status "No Response" - but you "hear" it working on the harddrive.

Now I tryed it with three different PC's - all intensely used for Webapplications & Browsing ... And all with a different Hardware ... the results are all the same - No Response on Cacheclearing - the "fastest" could clear the cache in ~4 minutes

Thats way too long if you ask me :(
