why is FF5.XX and up incompatible with google toolbar
Why is the google tollbar incompatible with any Firefox build 5.xx and higher? I know there is a workaround if you install 4.xx and then "re-enable it against advice of the add-ons manager" However if you install 5.xx and up the google toolbar will close the installation process citing incompatibility.

Google decided that they will no longer produce the Google Toolbar for Firefox 5 and newer versions. It is best to move on to other alternatives than to try any "hacks" to the toolbar that may or may not perform in the future. Future versions of Google toolbar will only work with IE7-9 (and beyond). Google Toolbar is not available on any other browser, even Google's own browser.
