Firefox crashes
A pop-up asking to update something (my wife started it this morning), but she continued (?) without doing the update.
Unable to run firefox with or without safemode. Tried shift-run as well as using the command line. A radio button dialog pops up for less than a second (can't select anything), then firefox starts to fill in the window, but hangs. Sometimes the "background" is black, othertimes the window starts to fill in, but hangs. It doesn't always detect that a crash happens and just goes into same hung condition. I've tried this about a dozen times, and also tried rebooting PC.

If you are using Roboform, install the latest 7.6.2 version of Roboform.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page. You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

FANTASTIC. THANK YOU! I verified that I was running Roboform 7.5.5 (using Chrome, because Firefox was hosed), upgraded to 7.6.2 and voila ... after about 2 minutes of intense disk activity Firefox started up. I was strumming my fingers during these 2 minutes, convinced that I was now seeing another problem, but no...Firefox started up. The only odd "side effect" is that when I run Firefox now, my screen temporarily turns black (for under a second), but Firefox seems to load quickly without any other issue.
I can't say if this solution is helpful or not, since upgrading Roboform seems to have fixed the problem. If the problem reappears (hopefully not), then I will give this a try. Thank you.
