Firefox always opens http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.6.8/whatsnew/ when launched. How do I make it stop this extreemly anoying behavior?
Every time I launch Firefox since it updated to version 3.6.8 it opens a tab to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.6.8/whatsnew/. It opens another tab to the OLNY url defined as my home page. I've asked how to stop this before and all I got was people telling me how to set a home page. Please do not assume I am so stupid that I can not figure out how to do something I've been doing for 20 years!. This problem has nothing to do with my home page setting. Firefox has always opened a "what's new" page the first time after an upgrade but it has not until now continued opening that page. How do I get it to stop opening this page?
I don't want to go back to using I.E. but It would be worse to be repeatedly annoyed by Firefox doing something I don't like, don't want, and apparently can not turn off!

I found an old user.js and deleted it. That fixed it for me.
Go to the about:config and search for 'whatsnew'. I found it was labeled url override. Deleted the entry and the tab went away.
