unrequested tabs keep opening all the time
shortly after doing a "google" search, an unrequested tab opens up, usually listing search results for the same word(s) done under google. But the unrequested tabs also pop up at other random times, normally diplaying advertising of one sort or another or listing search results dug out of some temp. file store somewhere in my pc. Full scans with Avira, SuperAntiSpyware, SpybotS&D and Malwarebites Antimalware have not been able to find and clear the culprit

Hi Moses, Thanks a lot for your very quick reply. I have already updated and run a full scan of 1. and 2. listed on your answer and I will look into 3. Spy...Terminator. I have also uninstalled FF 3.6.2 and installed a fresh FF 3.6.8 but sadly the unrequested tabs ( malware) persist and is also affecting FF ver. 3.6.8 I have switch to Opera in the mean time as I don't intend to spend every single minute of my spare time reparing a browser that is lacking. Sad, because Firefox was my favorite browser! I only hope its current security vulnerabilities will be mended soon! ...I will then consider going back to FF if Opera ( ...and the others, Safari, Chrome, etc) are not serving me well. Again, many thanks for your help
