Creata new folder inThunderbird. System does not add the new folder

I want to create new folders as I have just installed Thunderbird. I fill in the dialogue box, press create and nothing happens.

Other than the folder issue, is TB working properly, i.e., sending and receiving email messages? Is this a POP or IMAP setup?
