Cannot display contact birthday in Calendar or by searching

Hi,

I have added birthdays to my personal contacts but I cannot auto-trigger events in the calendar from them nor search for upcoming birthdays in Find contacts (ctrl-shift-F). How can I view my contacts by birthday?

Forget I spoke - I've just found an addon that runs with the latest Thunderbid - all the others I'd seen were obsoleted.
