Tabs Close and E-mails Have been Wiped Out
These are the issues which I have:
- I close Thunderbird with many tabs open. When I reopen Thunderbird all the tabs are closed except for the Inbox. Previously the tabs remained open but since recently that is not the case.
- In my Inbox all e-mails from before 16-Nov-2020 are blank I can see the Subject, who they are from and their date and time. But when I highlight them they appear to be from the last legible sender, the title is shown from the last legible sender and their contents are blank. How can I restore them?
Not long ago I installed Malwarebytes. Since I had these problems I uninstalled this application. Yet the problems have not been resolved. What can I do about them? Thank you.

For the tabs issue, Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, delete session.json.
For the second issue, right-click the Inbox in the Folder Pane, Properties, Repair Folder. Does the Inbox now display correctly?

Thank you for your reply.
The first issue has been solved. Fantastic!
As for the second issue, all e-mails in the Inbox prior to the 16-Nov-2020 have been deleted. I was wondering whether they can be recovered.
did malwarebytes tell you about a threat in email and offer to "fix" it for you by any chance?
I do not remember of Malwarebytes prompting me to do anything.
At that time I had let Bitdefender do a complete scan of my computer. I do not recall whether it offered to "fix" my e-mails.
Check the Bitdefender settings for any files it has quarantined. Are the missing messages visible in webmail, and is the account POP or IMAP?
Thanks for the tips. I have not located any quarantined files in Bitdefender. The account is a POP account. Alas, my efforts to contact Bitdefender support or helpdesk have not been successful.
If the messages were left on the server after download (check through webmail), they can be re-downloaded, but otherwise look in the Trash or Deleted folder in case they ended up there.
Thanks for the suggestion. I could not find any Deleted folder but I have Trash folders. I did not find the e-mails thee. In any case, even if I did find them, I wonder whether they would be useful, as their contents had been wiped out.
