Hello,

Sorry to hear about that. First, Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing.

Click the Bookmarks button Bookmarks-29 (or New Fx Menu > Bookmarks) and select Show All Bookmarks. At the top of the Library window, click on Import and Backup and select Restore. Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover. In the new window that appears, click OK. Your bookmarks from the selected date should now be restored. For more information, see the Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer article. For other solutions, see the Recover lost or missing Bookmarks article.

If the above doesn't work, it could be that a file got corrupted (namely the places.sqlite file). You can install the Places Maintenance extension to run maintenance on the file. Please read the following articles first as they provide helpful hints and instructions that may be relevant to you:

I hope you got your solution. Thank you!

Did you empty the Windows 7 Recycle Bin?
If not look there for you deleted files.

When a Windows user deletes files, those files are sent to the Recycle Bin and not actually deleted.

Sorry, that's all have to suggest ....

Maybe a better description of what you did concerning your Firefox Account, might be helpful?
But if it involved your resetting the Firefox Account password before you tried to connect to Sync, "all hope is lost". That feature purposely cleans out all user data from the Sync server; a "maintenance" feature along with how the encryption of user data works when user data is sent out of each Firefox installation / Profile to the Sync server where is "sits" in a "blob" that is impossible for any password except for the ONE password that was previously used to encrypt that user data was sent to that server.

Works fine when Firefox is used as designed, for being used with more than one device; but 'sucks' when a user tries to use it in lieu of a proper backup of their Firefox user data.

Unfortunately, I reset my password before registering, is there any hope of returning my data, it contained a lot of important things

No there isn't of getting your data back from Sync, it's gone; and if it would be possible to return the "blob" to you, you wouldn't be able to be decipher to have it in a "human readable" format without access to a super computer and many hours of time on that type of computer.

IMO, Sync and Firefox Accounts "security" is over the top with user data security for the Sync server and for data travel across the internet, but it's "only bad" when the user misunderstands how Sync works and misuses Sync or doesn't read the warning message when resetting the Account Password. An older version of Sync "bit me in the tail" a few times, long before the situation "we" are talking about even started. And back then users needed to create a new Sync account when they had certain problems, using a different email address with each new Account to be able to move ahead with using Sync. Four new Sync accounts in as many years, so the current scheme sure works better in that respect.

noooo and thanks for your time
