In some situations where a word I type in matches something I have typed in before, the suggestions box appears under the input box, and even leaving it unselected still triggers it when I hit the enter key. Sometimes I can avoid it, if I click outside the input box, and hit the search/submit/etc. button next to the input area. Other sites may not have such a button, however, and I may need to press enter on my keyboard to complete the action. How can I do that without triggering the history suggestion, and searching/submitting the wrong thing? Why isn't it behaving as expected already?

Hi

If you open the Firefox for Android menu, slect Settings and Privacy, you should see the "Remember logins" option. Clear this and Firefox for Android will not reuse login information when you are browsing the web.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

I don't mean logins are being filled, I mean search terms, on some sites. Like if I put in something like, hypothetically, "duck crackers" as a search term sometime, then it may fill that in if I type in the word "duck" and then hit enter, or even if I put in "duck soup", it may change to "duck crackers" when I hit enter, even though I did not select it from the suggestions dropdown, even if i added an extra, different word, and I get incorrect search results. It's kind of like that. The actual terms vary, but you may get the idea.

Hi

Okay, thank you for the info. You may want to have a look in Settings and then Search. Swipe to the bottom of the page to see the search suggestions and search history options, the toggling of which may help resolve this for you.
