I'm getting this invalid error after I click on a link to a video. "This video is restricted. It must be approved for you to view it."

I only get this error when using Firefox and clicking a link to view a video on Youtube, and I only recently started getting this error on Firefox. I'm getting this invalid error after I click on a link to a video. "This video is restricted. It must be approved for you to view it."

That means the file is locked and you need permission to see it.

Note that the System Details list next to the question shows multiple Flash plugins.

  • Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0

This can possibly happen if you have parental control software enabled on the computer.
