How do I back up the email messages in Thunderbird
My computer is getting older and I wonder how long the hard drive will last. How can I back up my email accounts with numerous messages to my hard disk backup.

You could copy your profile. Then reinstalling Thunderbird on a new or repaired computer and copying over your backed up profile would let you pick up where you left off.
