Why is Google always hacking into my DuckDuckGo search engine on Firefox?

Everytime I click on Firefox--with DuckDuckGo as default search engine--and then check privacy & cookies before starting, Google has already placed a cookie. Is Google just automatically hacking into DuckDuckGo? Is there something that can be done to stop this? Any info appreciated.

DDG uses Google search to do searches that done thru DDG.
