Why when a window closes the default button is close? how about changing it to cancel? save me headache when doing homework.

While doing homework I used the back space key (hit it fast twice). It ended up taking me from my page and deleting all my work I had done...yes I was done. I hate using two programs to do my work.. It is like having to type in word then pasting it here. I am asking if I can make the default button not close the page. Thanks for the help!

You can change what the Backspace key does so it does not operate like the Back button. It's a change I make myself!

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste back and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.backspace_action preference and change the value from 0 to 2 (or anything other than 0 or 1) and then click OK.

(FYI - setting it to 1 causes the Backspace key to behave like Page Up which I think would be less annoying, but still annoying)
