This is my setting. I have 2 mail adresses on Tyfon.se and also forward mails to my outlook and google gmail. It has worked all the time, even after the latest upgrade from Thunderbird but, yesterday it just stoped. My mails are going to outlook and gmail but are not coming in to my Thunderbird post program in my computer..?? Why ?? Check my settings 1 , 2 Jonas
Just wonder why you use the internal 127.0.0.1 as address. Are you using a proxy or what?
I read on, are you using AVG and redirecting thru AVG- scanning? In that case check your settings in AVG. Perhaps something changed during an update. btw im swedish. http://www.avg.com/au-en/faq.num-5224

Hello! Yes that is corrrect, I use AVG and have set up the AVG program for handling my mails. What I can see nothing has change, it looks the same as the instructions you send me a link for. Look at my screen dumps... Don´t get it, why can´t Thunderbird take home my mail anymore?? Jonas
I can't see anything wrong, You could try setting it up ones again in AVG and in TBird
Hi! I know....I cant see anything wrong either. Have been looking over both the AVG and the Thunderbird/Tools/Advanced settings....but it looks right. Still cant get my mails?? Dont know what to do? Really dont like to do it all over again and it shouldent be necessary when all is right. ? Jonas
If there is a broken link somehow..... Does AVG scan your profile? Don't let it, make an exception.
I don't see the point in letting AVG act like a man in the middle. And i'm not that sure it unpacks attachments and scans them. Scripts are not allowed to run within TB and if you don't open attachments that's suspicious ....
Ok, it has worked perfect before but, how do I get around AVG then? Take away the man in the middle?

I have one password for getting in to my provider Tyfonmail and one for my e-mail. I have tried both but no one works? Why isn´t the one that I´ve been using all the time work all of a suddenly? Ahhhhhhhhhh..........
Your other accounts? Gmail etc have you set them up in Tbird? Authentication failure is often because Tbird isn't allowed outgoing calls thru a firewall (AVG in your case?). After an update Tbird is sometimes treated as a new program that need to be trusted. http://www.avg.com/au-en/faq.num-5221
Hi again! Still puzzling this problem...... My other accounts is NOT set up in Tbird. Only the ones I send you [email protected] and [email protected] But all I write and send is forward to my outlook and gmail otherwise I could not talk to you now so, good backup. Yesterday I uninstallet the hole AVG and downloaded a new and installed so now all setups are untoucht and fresh. But I cant understand why Tbird dosen´t take my password anymore? I have a username on my Tyfon mail side and a password for my accounts. One for jfkullen and one for kaii and they both work when I logg in on the Tyfon site. But Tbird want take the same password?? Will try now again for an hour or two, puhhhhhhhh. Jonas
Try running T-bird in safe mode
Try running Windows in safe mode with network.
In that case you would probably have to set up a direct account access in T-bird. As your AVG won't be loaded and 127.0.0.1 would be wrong.
BEFORE Try this Open options / security / saved passwords and delete.

I have reinstalled AVG so it is not going through any 127.01.0 anymore.

How about trying windows safe mode with network? It just loads the necessary files (not avg) and you can find out if that's your problem. Or you could try
- Right-click the AVG icon in the system tray next to the clock.
- Click Temporarily disable AVG protection.
- Choose how long you want the protection to be disabled and whether
to disable the Firewall as well, and then click OK.
Then start Tbird
