When downloading the new Firefox, it made the Options Preferences appear in the tabs; where is the option to make it a pop-up window?
In previous versions of Firefox the Options window under the Tools Menu was a seperate window from Firefox. With the new update they put it in the tabs which majorly clutters up that space and makes it difficult to go back to what I was previously looking up. Is there an option to put the Options window back to a pop up or do I have to install a previous version of Fire fox?

Hi, you can go back to the old Options window by: Type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to browser.preferences.inContent and double click to change 'Value' from True to False, taking care not to alter anything else. You may then need to restart Firefox.
If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

Why not give it a try for a while. Here's a few tips that may help.
Just get hold of the tab with the mouse pointer and with a left click drag it down, it will open in a new window.
There is no guarantee the old method will continue to work in future versions. The new version may possibly have problems or bugs, and the more people that use it the better, so any bugs get reported and fixed now.
The new one can even be bookmarked and found by typing into the address bar. Also you may go direct to a section such as about:preferences#advanced
Presumably you have noticed that once the tabs bar is filled up there is a downpointing triangle at the right hand side that is a drop down list of all the tabs.
Also if you right click the tab you have the option to pin the tab. It then uses minimal space and with its distinctive cog favicon should be easy to find.
Hello AlbinoLass, Scribe_uk, John
Corfirm, Scribe_uk's above reply is the correct one if you want to reverse the change.
But as John said above, give it a try for a while because there is no guarantee the old method will continue to work in future versions.
I think it is a matter of habit.....in a way......
thank you
