Every website is "untrusted"
I upgraded firefox yesterday and now every single website I go to it says its an "untrusted connection". This includes things like google, yahoo mail and facebook. I dont always get the the option to add an exception either. Nothing else has changed. I've had to uninstall firefox as its unuseable.

You would have to check the certificate to see if you can find the cause. Adding a permanent exception is never recommended and shouldn't be necessary.
What does it say under the Technical details?
Open this chrome URI by pasting or typing this URI in the location/address bar to open the "Add Security Exception" window and check the certificate:
- chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul
In the location field type/paste the URL of the website
- retrieve the certificate via the "Get certificate" button
- inspect the certificate via the "View..." button
Can you attach a screenshot of the Technical details and of the Certificate Manager with the certificate?

Check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
- Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
- Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate"
- Click the "View" button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer.
You can see more details like the intermediate certificates that are used in the Details tab.
My time and date are set correctly. I dont always get the option to add an exception and I cant be expected to do this for literally every website I visit. If I do add an exception the website doesnt always display correctly either.

I downloaded firefox again to try some of the help tips and it seems to be fine. No idea what the problem was!
