I downloaded and installed QuickTime on my Win 7 computer. Using Firefox, i still get the "A plugin is needed to display this content" when the page has a mov file to display. It works fine using IE. Here's a link to the page:

There is no sign of QuickTime in your Firefox System Details. This should help with the Firefox plug-in -

Well, now it works. I got the "Activate QuickTime" message instead of "A plugin is needed to display this content", and after activation it worked. Why didn't it work before and why now? Who knows...

Note that Firefox is a 32 bit application, so you need a plugin for 32 bit QuickTime.
