Word is part of Microsoft Office and you would need to purchase that. If you don't want to purchase Office, you can use the built in Wordpad located at Start > All Programs

From where you want to send letter ? Gmail , Yahoo mail , Hotmail or something else ?
I don't want to send an e-mail I want to compose a letter that I would print off and send. At my job I did that in "word" and I can't find where to access that on my home computer.
What is your OS(Operating System) ?
