using firefox and google classroom, incompatible ?
hi, using google classroom & firefox during covid, during a live stream from tutor once logged in, there is no audio/voice of the tutor ! my speakers and mic seem to be working on any other websites, no issues.
After contacting tutor, they confirm we are the only ones not able to hear her voice, and assures us the issue is at our end. we run win 10, laptop about 8 months old. firefox browser, no audio icon with a cross on it.
Surprisingly the audio will play if you watch the webcast later in the day, however you are required to be logged in in the mornings !
despite many hours googling this issue, i can't find a solution, any advice ? is this a known issue with firefox and live streams. thanks in advance for any resolution offered.

Hi, i am not willing to create a classroom just to find out why this has happened, as i found the following resolution, i couldn't find any other posts with this issue-so after wasting hours reinstalling windows resetting my laptop & checking all my drivers, ensuring my mic and camera were working properly, i found that simply opening up google chrome browser and doing it through that resolved the issue....i am no fan of google chrome, mozilla firefox is my usual browser, but in this case it simply refused to allow my kids to do their schoolwork, this mozilla issue has resulted in my kids not being able to do online classes for 3 days whilst i tried to resolve this.
anyhow, it is a little known issue, but i hope my contact with you may help someone else.

You should create a classroom and let us join to test the issue.

Well for the students sake I created a classroom and if you want to test just let me know. I never used it, but it shouldn't be to difficult.
I'll send you a message with the link via your support profile.
