Turn off bookmark sync on JUST android
I have discovered that when bookmarks are synced between my 2 computers and my phone that the phone seems to re arrange and corrupt my bookmark structure so i turned it off. A little while later i realized that bookmarks were not syncing any more... So i checked and the setting was turned off. If i turn the setting back on on one device it does it for all of them. As far as I can tell you cant set it up so it doesn't sync bookmarks to Just the phone. Does anyone know of a way to change this or have any other suggestions for syncing bookmarks? because otherwise I might be going back to chrome. I do not want to use separate profiles.
I do not want to have the sync turned off on my phone. I use the push function to send articles to my computer.

Hi Bryan
Firefox Sync is designed to keep bookmarks and website credentials in sync across two or more copies of Firefox. If you do not wish to use this, go into the account settings in both copies of Firefox and deselect the different Sync categories.
If you remain signed into your Firefox Account, even with the different Sync categories delselected, you will still be able to send a tab from one device to the other.
Maybe the issue was not clear. If i turn on bookmark sync on my PC it turns it on on my phone as well. I dont want it on on my phone. just on my computers. It will not let me do this. When the browser syncs, it turns on any settings that have been enabled in the other device.
Hi Bryan
Thank you for that clarification, really useful.
I have contacted our developers who have explained that Firefox Sync settings are global across your Firefox Account and cannot be set per device. This is something that might be changed in a future update.
Thank you for confirming. I have employed a third party service to sync bookmarks. That being said, there is a good chance I will probably switch browsers because of some other issues that I'm seeing
Hi,
