Firefox frequently will not load a simple html page
Hi,
Frequently (once or twice a day) Firefox presents a blank page for various different tabs.
Either refresh button is greyed-out or clicking refresh button does not seem to do anything.
Strangely this problem even occurs with a simple, plain vanilla, html file (with no html beyond html 4) that is sitting on my hard disk.
If when this simple html file on my hard disk is blank, I go to File | Open and select the html file on my hard disk, again, nothing happens.
The only way to fix this situation is to quit Firefox and restart, but sometimes I have to quit and restart twice.
Any help would be appreciated !
Thanks. rp108

Does this occur only when Firefox needs to start up to show the HTML page, or also when Firefox is already running when you launch the HTML page?
Thank you for responding.
I will have to pay closer attention, but I think that the problem is ONLY on start up. It will happen to multiple tabs.
In my post, I emphasized the plain-html-file-on-my-HD so that we could not sect a problem with a site on the Net.
I always keep the simple html page as Tab-1
So if I start up FF and it starts on Tab-2, I might (not always) get a blank page. If at that time ie.e getting a blank page, I switch to Tab-1 (the plain page) it is also blank.
It seems strange that I cannot use reload link to reload the page, and it is especially perplexing that File | Open does not work to get a fresh copy of the plain page from my HD.
BTW; I read your response to a similar - maybe identical - problem posted by another OP, so maybe I just wait for FF update.
Thank you so much !
