want to install old noscript in firefox 50.1.0
I have a very old laptop. It runs WinXP32. I had Firefox 50 installed, with NoScript installed too, and all was well. I decided (and now I really wish I hadn't) to wipe it all back with a TrueImage drive image I had because it had been a few months since I'd done it.
Now, all of the older versions of NoScript have been removed from Mozilla addons. There's a version of NoScript 5.1.9 on the NoScript site that won't install because it's unsigned. Setting xpinstall.signatures.required to false does nothing to help.
My laptop cannot run newer windows. No drivers. XP32 cannot run newer Firefox. I understand thinking that all old NoScripts should be removed because now they're vulnerable... but no. Absolutely wrong. I could run an old NoScript and drive image every weekend. Easy. Simple.
Now I can't run NoScript at all. How is this making me safer?
Does anybody have any suggestions as to *anything* I could do to install NS 5.1.9?

And of course, the most patched up version of Firefox for Windows XP is the last in the Firefox 52 ESR series. You might be able to get it by triggering an update:
Update Firefox to the latest release
Or this is the download for U.S. English:

I eventually found a way to get NoScript 5.1.9 to install.

Hey Mozilla! "Not supporting" XP users is not the same thing as telling XP users to F off. Which is really what you've done in my case. I've been using Firefox for as long as it's existed, and I guess I still am. Really, though... wtf.

Chromium, Chrome, and Opera dropped support of the old EOL Windows XP (and Vista) back in April 2016.
The last update for Firefox 52 ESR was 52.9.0esr Released on June 26, 2018
The Firefox 52.0 and later Releases has dropped support of the EOL Windows XP (EOL as of April 2014) and Vista (EOL as of April 2017) so it is not possible for WinXP and Vista to still be supported with Firefox Releases.
At best Mozilla could have done is maybe try to have a few more security/stability updates for the old Firefox 52 ESR. If not for the Firefox 52 ESR it could have ended as of Firefox 53.0 Released on April 19, 2017
Besides updating to Windows 7, 8 (8.1), 10 there is the option of installing or dual booting with a light 32-bit Linux distro as there are some that still support the ancient 32-bit CPU's.
