When I open any version of Firefox from ver. 60 and up, I get this error message : Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at www.%snf%.com. If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

   Try again later.
   Check your network connection.
If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

I have multiple drives in my system and any of the drives using any of the 50s ver. work fine but even the newest updates gives me the same error message. I use the same (json) bookmark files for all the drives, so nothing is different there. I have tried all the 'fixes' like deleting or renaming the sessions folders and files and that doesn't change anything either. I have tried changing or putting the homepage bookmark in different ways, eg. typing it in, using a bookmark, dragging a bookmark on the home icon and nothing works. After Firefox loads I can click on any bookmark and it will load fine, even the one for my homepage and accessing it by clicking on the home icon will work too. It is just on the initial book up of Firefox, ver. 60 and up. Thanks

Soluzione scelta

Guess the new version was corrupted. Uninstalled & Reinstalled it and problem was solved. No malware on system, checked regularly.

Have you deleted the cookies for the site and also your cache and refreshed the browser after doing so. As well as below : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/remove-websites-awesome-bar-suggestions

Have you tried opening it in other browsers ?

Note : it could be your Security Software as there are several that do weird things to Firefox like : Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET

Have cleared 'everything' multiple times. I have no other security on my system except for what comes with Win 10 .

What is the actual home page?

Gmail. But it doesn't matter what I make the home page. No matter what I make it, any site at all, I still get the same error message. After the initial log in, I can click on the 'home icon' or anything else and it will load just fine. I also have the same problem with ver 61.0.2 on another drive in the same computer. The bookmarks, the json file, is the same on all the drives. On a drive that uses the earlier ver 54, no problem, same bookmarks and everything loads fine. My system has 5 drives with separate win 10 operating systems. This only happens on 2 of the drives with ver 61 and 61.0.2. I hate to revert back to an earlier version, afraid of people hacking into the system on earlier versions. Thanks for your reply/time.
