I just had an automatic update delete my bookmarks and everthing else saved. What do I do to restore the lost stuff?
With this current automatic update I have lost all stored passwords and bookmarks. The "old firefox" folder on my desktop is 2 years old. I am not a happy camper.

It's possible Firefox was refreshed.
Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

Is there only one profile folder present if you check this in the parent location used for the profile folder?
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Go up one level to the Profiles folder.
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
