Reddit and Facebook not loading
Recently Reddit has been returning "Sorry, we have failed you. Try refreshing!" message and Facebook does not load. I have tried to open Firefox in safemode and also try refreshing firefox it but it does not work. I tried to load the same sites in a different browser (chrome and edge) and while on both browsers reddit works, facebook doesnt.
How do I fix the issue so as to be able to access reddit again?

It's possible your protection programs are being overprotective.
Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Unfortunately safemode does not fix the problem. I'll try to update to the april update for windows and see if that will fix it.
I tried uaing private window and it worked. Came back to normal window and it did not.
One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}
Updated to April update and also to the latest firefox and normal window still returns error on reddit (no shield icon). facebook has been working for a while now and on private window reddit works (shield icon appears here).
I found out that old.reddit.com works, so something in the redesigned reddit web page is not working in a normal window of firefox.
Good to hear. Maybe someone will find out what gives.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen or hold down the Shift key) to see if that has effect.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Tried everything and found none. Tried beta firefox as well and does not fix the problem. I tried using firefox on my android devices and they work.
Did you try to reset (power off/on) the router?
I also tried to reset the router, reset ip settings, change DNS but still doesn't work.
A quick test is to open a web page via Google translate with a random source language to see if that gives content. If that works then either something between Firefox and the server is blocking or the website itself has a problem.
You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.
If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
