Hi, No can do, I'm afraid, as Firefox needs to be running to be able to view the bookmarks folder. Bookmarks are stored in the places.sqlite file in the Profile folder.
OOps.

Hi, please go to the 3 Bar Menu then Click on Customize and drag the Star out to where you want it. It will show the bookmarks. Or you can turn on the Menu Bar by mousing to the top of the browser to a empty spot and Right Click and Check Menu Bar which will put bookmarks back up top.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
If this is what you wanted while Firefox is running. Or you can Export you Bookmarks to the Desktop as HTML but it will be pretty jumbled up but accessible if you use folders and they are organized. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer
But it would not be like a straight short cut as you want.

I'm still not sure I understand what you want to achieve.
Do you mean that you want to create a shortcut to open the Bookmarks Manager (Library) with a specific folder selected?
Can you describe this with some more details and possibly an example?

A bookmark is a link to a web page and not to anther bookmark or folder.
Maybe use tags.
