You can try refreshing Firefox or disabling hardware acceleration. The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information. I have done all this previously and to no avail it still runs slow, pegs out the cpu .. why oh why does it have to do this ?
