TB crashes while D/l new headers
Just started using T/B as a news reader. I have an account with forteinc as a news server and have logged in ok. I subscribed to a 'test' group and T/B immediately started downloading millions of headers.
I could not find a way to cancel the download other than to tell it to download only 500 headers. I had to shut down T/B and restart for this to take effect, but now T/B just hangs (not responding).
It shows that it has downloaded several thousand headers so far but none are displayed.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
ps The reason I am trying T/B is because my usual news reader, Agent, only allows you to create one post at a time. I have thousands of cartoons - small tiffs and jpgs - that I wish to post maybe 10 or 20 at a time. Is this possible with T/B/
Again, many thanks for any help.

Try to delete the test group and re-subscribe to it.
I'm not sure what you mean with 'post 20 at a time'. Please explain.
Hi, Thanks for your reply. I unsubscribed and re-subscribed as suggested and after 'repairing folder' all seems well. Thank you.
I wish to somehow post about 20 pics at a time so that each appear as a new header but with a different file name attached, but don't want to have to create a new message for each pic. I notice some people post up to 100 or more, each with the same title but different file name at the end of the header. I can't believe that they create each one individually. Example pic attached.
To be honest I still don't really understand what you're talking about.

Sorry but this is not related to what I wish to do. I am looking for something that perhaps looks like a spreadsheet after you hit 'write'.
You could then enter text into the first cell, like "Here are today's pictures" And in the next cell enter the file name, like "Picture 107
You would the copy this info down into as many lines as you wished.
Next, you would change each line to read "Picture 108 or 109" etc.
Lastly, you would attach the actual file to each line and then post the lot all in one go.
I'm sorry, but I can't explain it any better. Many people post dozens of messages per day and I can't believe that they are opening a new 'write' window for each message.
I don't think Thunderbird can do that.
