I have a IMac G5 version 10.5.8, 1.8 GHZ Power PC G5, 512 MB DDR SDRAM. I currently have FireFox 3.6.19.Would I benifit from an upgrade tp FireFox 5?

Support for Firefox 3.6.x versions is scheduled to end in the near future, however, an update to Firefox 3.6.20 is due out tomorrow. To take advantage of the new enhancements in Firefox, you should upgrade to a newer version, see https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/central/

You can try TenFourFox, built expecially for your PPC Mac; based on Firefox 5 by a third-party. Due to problems that the developer is having getting his pages up on a new server you can not access the site directly right now, but you can download it from here:
