There should be the warning that this process wipes out your data. Please read Reset your Mozilla account password with Recovery Keys.

Firefox accounts uses your password to encrypt your data (such as bookmarks and passwords) for extra security. When you forget your password and have to reset it, this data could be erased. To prevent this from happening, generate your unique account recovery key before resetting your password.

You can restore your bookmarks from backup. See Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.

Do you still have an old profile or have other devices connected to Sync with your personal data ?

more options

Yes i use old profile on the same device but I had to change password.

Changing the password for the Sync account only clears data on the Sync server, it shouldn't affect data stored locally in the profile folder unless you mean resetting the Primary Password.

You can check if you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created.
