Typing into the text box on the Quick Filter menu bar no longer works. Nothing happens. Nothing is filtered. Not sure whether this is to do with an upgrade or not but also there is no second menu bar below the Quick Filter one which, I seem to recall, used to allow you filter by subject, recipient, body etc. Be that as it may, the Quick Filter search doesn't filter.

I have seen responses to earlier questions saying this can be solved by opening a new tab or window and then closing the old one, but this does not resolve the issue - the same problem occurs on a new tab and/or new window.

Quick Filter is pretty critical given the number of emails I have, so a fix is much desired.

This iis TB 102.3.2 (64-bit) running on Windows 10 home version 21H1 OS build 19043.2006

I just used quick filter 10 minutes ago on the release version. So I have to assume it works.

Try restarting Thunderbird in Troubleshoot mode (on the help menu) and see is it works then.

Disabling all add-ons and restarting Thunderbird in normal or Troubleshooting mode did not appear to have any effect.

BUT having done that, then applying the fix which was mentioned in an earlier thread, on top of that, i.e. opening a new window, closing the original window and then closing and re-opening, looks as if it might have worked. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
