Hi,

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages : Reload the page : Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button or press 'Ctrl + F5' or press 'Ctrl + Shift + R'

Another thing to try : Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

Clear the Cache:

3-bar menu => Options => Privacy & Security => Cached Web Content :
"Clear Now"

Remove Cookies from sites causing problems:

3-bar menu => Options => Privacy & Security => under 'History' : choose 'Use custom settings for history' => "Show Cookies"

Any difference  ?

Happy112, thank you for your reply. I tried all your suggestions but no change. Still can't delete stocks. I never lost the ability to reposition the stocks in my list and can add individual lots within individual stocks but have lost ability to delete stocks and delete lots withhin the stocks.

Update: I didn't fully understand your directions. I went back and opened up "show cookies". This shows many cookies for many websites. I copied the portfolio address and pasted this. It shows no cookies for this website. Did you intend for me to delete all of the cookies shown for all of the websites?

Hi, Please : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's(WIn10)) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 58.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Pkshadow, a fairly drastic action and one that I've done before but reluctantly. I'll try to back up my stuff and go thru this but I always get redundant bookmarks and unwanted things when done and then have to reconfigure all. If u come up with any other way to resolve, pls let me know. Thanks.

Hi, actually it is the lesser of doing a refresh and takes about 5mins with out loosing anything. All you are doing is chucking the Firefox Folders out which are how old and how many versions of updates in them and install replaces those with just new Quantum files. There could be files in those folders dating back years so is not drastic as every thing is saved in your profile and poof, open Firefox and was just as you left it. So yes is lesser than doing a refresh which means everything has be redone.

No, if the site isn't listed, you can leave cookies as they are.

Thank you for trying, though  !

,PKshadow and Happy112, thank you for responding and for your suggestions. It is good to know someone is available to answer questions and provide recommendations. I have reloaded FF many times and will do this in a few days if Yahoo portfolios doesn't get repaired. Portfolios occasionally glitches, or even completely stops, but it seems that the admin gets bugs worked out. Hopefully, this will happen. Or, perhaps the next FF update will correct whatever is bugging it? Like FF, Mozilla progs are free. These each have their quirks but they're very useful and using them keeps me from from feeding the beast (Google).

Not giving up just yet - let's try Firefox in Safe Mode :

If Firefox is not running : Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running : 3-bar menu => ' ? ' (at the bottom of the dropdown) => 'Restart with Add-ons disabled'. Then OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click 'Start in Safe Mode' ( not 'Refresh' !)

Any difference  ?

'Just noticed a separate issue :

Your system details show that you need to update your Adobe Flash Player - you're running an older version, which can cause problems. Would you please uninstall your current version and install the latest version, which is 28.0.0.161

Uninstaller : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Note : some 'extras' may be offered in the download.

This is what Yahoo Finance Help said yesterday :

https://forums.yahoo.net/t5/Yahoo-Finance-help/Delete-a-stock-from-a-portfolio/td-p/372391/page/2

So Yahoo Finance engineers need to find the root cause of the problem ....

Yes, I am hopeful that Yahoo Finance will get things straightened out. Many others have same or similar problems as me. I have a work around with Portfolios that will allow me to use this service for time being. This requires manual manipulation of the data. From what I read about needing to migrate Google finance into Yahoo, I'm not sure if there's another free service to manage my stocks?

'Been looking around and maybe you can find something that will work for you among these search results

Appreciate your links. Really hoping Yahoo gets straightened out but it appears there are other options. Thanks.

Been away and just opened my Yahoo Portfolio. Looks like the Yahoo engineers got it working right. Can now add to holdings and add/delete stocks. Nice. I don't see how to delete holdings if I might have too many but my work around is to just delete the whole security, add this back in and then add the number of holdings I want. Thanks for getting this to work. I use it to manage my stock holdings on a daily basis. Don't see the "Kudos" icon here but Kudos to all who got this back up and working right.
