How do I stop websites that are blocked by Norton from opening a new tab?

When I am on certain websites everytime I click on the page or scroll bar or a link, a website linked to this isp (http://35.188.59.75) opens in a new tab. Norton blocks it because it is mailware, but the blocked page still opens a new tab (which is blank other than a warning), and the new tab then opens on my screen. I am constantly having to close down these tabs.

How do I stop firefox from opening new tabs for pages that are blocked by my security software? It is really annoying.

Thanks for your help.

Anthony

So you are saying you do not want the warning page to open, is that correct.

If it is I will not look for a fix for that as Norton is doing it's job correctly. (I have Norton and it blocks the page with a warning.) You say you do not want that or are you saying it opens a duplicate page.

I do not think you have made it clear enough as to what is going on. (I certainly would not want that warning to go away.)

Firefox/Google also put up a warning page if the page is listed in Googles data base.

The call for the Window or Page is being done by Norton Security. You would have to ask them about the issue in their forum since it is the call from the Norton Program to open the warning.

The only suggestion I have is a reinstall of Firefox and/or Norton : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.2 with a Full Version Installer
