how do I make the tabs look just like before firefox updated

more options

I am very unhappy with the firefox update. I can barely see the plus sign to create a new tab. I cannot see the delineation between one tab and the next. I really just want firefox to change my settings back to the way they were before the update.

Sorry, don't trust any website. If there is are steps to take to undo the firefox update on the tabs, or to recreate the original tabs, I would appreciate the steps being delineated.

Install the 52 ESR version from here then: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/

I want to either go back to the previous version, or just find a way to recreate the original tabs. Is the version 52 esr the previous version? Perhaps it would just be easier to ask firefox how to return to the old settings.

Version 52 ESR is a previous version yes.

Sorry, not meaning to sound so stupid, but is it the previous version to this update? Again, I would feel much more comfortable merely tweaking the tabs, if that would be possible. Last time firefox made a major change, they gave me the option to return to old settings, which I took.

I think these things are fixable:

I can barely see the plus sign to create a new tab. I cannot see the delineation between one tab and the next.

On the "+" button, is there a lack of contrast, for example, a white + on a pale background or a black + on a dark background? Or is there some other issue that makes it hard to see?

On the delineation between the background tabs, I see a one-pixel line in a highly contrasting color. That could be made thicker. Or the tabs could be given some curves around the top as in the attached screenshot. That rule (for a userChrome.css file) is:

.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected]){
  border-top-left-radius: 6px !important;
  border-top-right-radius: 6px !important;
}

It would help to see what theme you're using. Do you want to post a screenshot? This article has tips on that: How do I create a screenshot of my problem? Please cut out or blur any sensitive information in the image before attaching it to your reply.
