I must assume that in Options in the General section, "Warn you when closing multiple tabs" refers to when a user exits Firefox. But what if a user wants to suppress the warning when closing is necessary and deliberate by selecting either of the two choices from the tabs' context menu? Obviously, such choice is done on purpose, and I find the silly message very annoying. Is there an about:config setting that can be tweaked to stop this? OR, combine all tab closing message control into the single Option, whether a user is exiting or not.

Please ignore this post. I found another post with the same issue, and the solution is in about:config:

browser.tabs.warnOnCloseOtherTabs set to false.
