How can you have TB send mail automatically without the compose screen coming up when using the -compose command line option?

I'm using some scripts to automatically create an e-mail and send it using thunderbird and the -compose command line option. All works fine but I always get the compose screen and have to manually hit "send" button to get the message send. The idea is to send the message right away as all the info is already available (to= ,subject= ,body= ,attachment= etc...)

Is there a switch line sendnow or something along that line????

Thank you.

Thunderbird does not send mail without providing a visual feedback in the style of a send button. There is no option for automation. It is one of the reasons hackers do not target it for sending spam.

I suggest you communicate directly with the relevant SMTP server instead of using a mail client.

Perhaps PHP http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/sending-email-from-site/using-the-php-mail-function-to-send-emails

Or javascript https://www.emailjs.com/
