Bulk Image Downloader doesn't integrate with Firefox V44.0

more options

The Bulk Image Loader add-on integrates with Firefox using entries in the pop-up menu when you right-click on a page. Since upgrading to Firefox V44.0 the BID entries are missing. I've triede removing the add-on and reinstalling it but to no avail. Does anyone else have this problem or a solution? I've sent messages to Antibody Software Limited (makers of BID) but not gotten any responses.

Hi mbed,

Update on Bulk Image Downloader, as promised.

Tonight, Sunday 28th February, I downloaded version 4.93 of Bulk Image Downloader and am pleased to say it appears to work fine with multiple pages again.

Hope you have similar good fortune if you download the update too.

All the best,

Ian

Hi mbed, I too have experienced the same problem AND Antibody Software have failed to answer my email queries for the best part of a week now. Ironically, in an attempt to try all options, I renewed my annual upgrade facility with them ---- and received an email asking if I would go onto a Chrome user site and place a review to counter some of the poor reviews they are getting. I shall be seeking a refund from them, as the programme is unusable in its present form.

I have found two workarounds, neither of them satisfactory:

1. Don't update Firefox; the linkage still works with V43.0.4 2. Launch BID from your desktop or Start menu and paste in the address of the page you want to download.

It's particularly irritating to me because I just purchased BID in the last week

Hi mbed,

Yes, I too found those workarounds but, as you rightly say, neither is satisfactory. Antibody Software should at least be acknowledging Support emails, which they are not doing, so I feel very let down by them, as I'm sure you do too. They have until tomorrow (Friday) to answer my emails, after which time I shall be posting reviews wherever possible and taking steps to recover my monies.

Antibody Software released an update on Feb. 5 V4.91 that fixes this problem.

Hi mbed, Yes, I was notified by Dominic at Antibody and would have let you know too, but another problem arose when I updated and thought I'd best get that resolved first. Whilst BID and Firefox appear quite compatible now, Flickr (or BID) is not allowing more than one page to download at a time. A "Navigation Cancelled" error is being shown, equivalent to about 100 images only. I have just emailed Dominic with the latest info and am awaiting his response. I will let you know as soon as anything is resolved.
