version 38 export contacts to csv

more options

I am trying to export my Thunderbird contacts to a csv file.

  I select the address book.
  I select All Address Books.
I select the tools drop-down menu.
  I select the export option.
Select the folder where I want to create the csv file.
I select csv option in the save as type options.
I enter a file name. I select the save button.
Thunderbird creates a .csv file in the proper folder.

When I open the file, I have only 1 line. That line contains the header line for the contacts but there are no other records in the csv file.

You need to select each individual address book (e.g Personal Address Book, Collected Addresses) and export them one-by-one.

There appears to have been an oversight when All Addresses was introduced; it shouldn't allow you to select Export when All Addresses is active.

Zenos,

Thanks for the speedy response. It worked great!!!!

Solves a big problem. I didn't relish retyping 75 addresses.
