I forgot my sync pwd and the email I used is now defunct. How can I copy my old acct info (setting, add-ons, ect.) without sync settings, into a new acct?
I recently had to reset my desktop to factory settings. After installing firefox, I realized I had forgotten my sync password. Unfortunately, the email associated with my original account is now defunct, so I can't simply change my password. As of now, I have copied my account information from my laptop and overridden the default account information on my desktop, so I at least have all my settings, bookmarks and other features the same.
Is it possible to create a new account and copy all of my old settings (excluding sync information), and create a whole new sync setup? Or will the method I've implemented be effective in syncing any bookmarks or changes I make from one computer to the other?

You can feel free to simply create a new Firefox Sync account. Follow this link: https://accounts.firefox.com/signin and click "Create an account".
NOTE: If you're still signed in to Sync, you'll have to sign out first.
Connect all your devices to your new account and you should be back in business!
I hope that helped! Happy browsing!

- You should always keep all your user profiles up to date. Especially e-mail.
One last thing. In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
