If the problem is extreme slowness, some users have reported problems with an update to the graphics rendering technology. This thread has an extensive (and admittedly confusing at times) discussion of what people have been trying: Firefox is unbearably slow after updating to version 27. If you try anything there, please keep notes on the results in case you need to backtrack or so we can suggest next steps if those things did not help.

Thank you both for your responses, however I ended up resetting firefox and it still did not go back to the version I wanted. I will have to hunting for a different browser. Thanks!
