I have a new computer with Windows 7. I downloaded Firefox 3.6.3. After several days I found that the desktop shortcut would not open Firefox. I have Firefox open with a number of tabs open but cannot open another window from desktop.

Chris, I closed Firefox and restarted it. It woks fine now. I'll keep your reply in case this becomes a recurring problem.

Thanks, Bob

I'm not sure if that's the intended behaviour. (I'm on Mac) If you close Firefox, then start Firefox in Safe Mode, does the problem still occur? For instructions on starting in Safe Mode, see Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

Mine is doing the same thing. I am also experiencing flash crashes when it does this. Something is not right with this version of the browser.

Oh I forgot to mention I am running XP Home edition.

I tried to get into safe mode and can't even get Mozilla to open. I tried removing from my system so I could do a fresh download and it keeps saying close Mozilla first.
