basic browsing, screen view
Dear Community,
Suddenly my screen image is full with flickering colorful snow. This makes me dizzy in the head. Is this perhaps a new security feature? How can i get rid of this? I will add a screenshot.
Thank you in advance. Frank

Numerous Linux users have reported confetti effects with Firefox 86, which can be eliminated by preventing Firefox from using hardware acceleration (a typical workaround for incompatibilities between Firefox and your graphics card/chipset driver software). This article describes where to make that change: Firefox's performance settings. This will take effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it up again. Any difference?
Since hardware acceleration improves the appearance of fonts and animations, you may want to check whether graphics card/chipset driver updates are available for your system. This article suggests safe ways to do that: Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL.

Is this with just Firefox or all the time?
Turn off and unplug the monitor. Wait a minute or so, then plug it back in.
