Hello, i am having trouble setting up SMTP username and password.

The POP3 config is working fine, my inbox is receiving all the messages, but i cannot send messages.

My SMTP configuration do not have the same username and password as the POP3 settings, and i am not able to set the SMTP username and password anywhere.

Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated :-)

Tools/Account Settings, select the POP account in the left pane, then look at Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the lower right pane. The POP account should be sending on an smtp server with the same User Name as the POP User Name; click Edit SMTP server to check. Select another smtp from the drop down, or create an smtp with the correct User Name in Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane of Account Settings.

If you have the sending account and the sending smtp matched with the same User Name, the smtp will apply the same password as the one for the incoming server. Options/Privacy & Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords to view the passwords for all servers.
