How to prevent Firefox from upgrading? Or Finding some form of a mKiosk configuration for the browser.
I have multiple kiosk using Firefox as a browser to display the content I have created digitally. Of course I used a stable version of Firefox 54 that worked perfectly with what I needed for my project, which eventually auto upgraded to v55. I used many solutions including changing about:config setting (app.update.auto -> false), installing an ESR version of Firefox, and refraining from checking Firefox version on about page (which is said to automatically update). None of these solutions have worked long term, which lead my team to forcing the update to work for what we need and disregarding the things we couldn't change.
Now, of course, there is a new Firefox Quantum that is auto upgrading on all of my kiosks. Unfortunately for me, the biggest issue that I cannot disregard is leaving my kiosk displaying tabs and a search address bar. The other upgraded versions allowed me to use an mkiosk add on, but Firefox Quantum does not have this compatibility.
Is there another form of mKiosk or another add-on/setting that I can use on my kiosks to remove the disable the displaying of the tabs and search address bar (Or disabling auto-upgrading Firefox indefinitely).

If you are using Firefox in a business setting, you should really be using ESR to avoid major changes such as the Photon project and Quantum pieces.
Try messing around with CCK2 if you haven't yet: https://mike.kaply.com/cck2/
One way would be to uncheck auto update and that way it will wait for you to decide when you are ready to click update to the latest version.
