New issue in Firefox 57 Since upgrade to FF 57, when I click on a link, a new tab opens in a very small window in the top left corner of the screen- but the tab is very small and I have to manually expand the tab to see it.

However ... if I right click on the link, it opens normally in the usual full page. I've tried attaching a screenshot to this message, but it won't load. Here is a link to it instead

This is an update from the question I posted earlier. I reposted the question to read more clearly. I also have attached a better screen capture, that explains the question.

I have a new issue with using Firefox 57 for Linux. Since upgrade to FF 57, when I click on a link a new tab opens in a very small window in the top left corner of the screen. But the tab is small and sits right outside of my peripheral vision. This means that when I want to use a new tab to view something in a different window I have to click on it (as usual), then I have to look for its location on the screen, then move the mouse to the tiny 3 button options button - then click to have the tab expand to a full page as it has worked in Firefox for the past millennium.

I don't know how to fix it myself, So I'd like some help fixing this problem.

Well do you have anything as per the Name MyDish (Sat Dish ?) What does the rest of the address go to ? Can just click in the address bar of that so it highlights 1 letter then Ctrl A then copy it.

I thought you said it went to a local file ? file:///home/jess/Pictures/Screenshot%20from%202017-11-26%2011-29-44.png No idea in Unux but a Windows Folder if have address bar on can stick that in then would go to the pic.

If no idea go with the below as it never hurts. Will have to find a anti-malware program for Unux

Thanks for your reply. My question was not as clear as it should have been. The screen shot I tried to include in the initial question didn't work as an attachment, and I was trying to send a link showing my issue. This made the post very confusing. Nothing shown within the small box has relevance to my problem. It was my mistake.

Now, I'm sending you the current screenshot that better illustrates the problem I have.

The box pictures are intended to only illustrate the size of a box that appears when I click on a link. Only one box appears at the top left of the screen. You can see some of the link destination, but to view it completely (as what usually happens) you have to expand the page. None of the link information shown inside the box is not relevant to this issue

So, as an example: I click the link as usual, but instead of the page opening in a new tab the regular size, What appears is the small box. To read or view the tabs content, I need to mouse over to the top left of the box where the " X " to close the page

" - " which makes the tab smaller or "button " increase the page to full size"

From my view this is a Firefox problem and is unrelated to my Ubuntu OS

I'm not sure if I have made this description of my problem, but I hope it will be easier for you to answer my question. Please let me know if you have other questions etc.

Forgot. Was reading pop-ups and many sites are loading bitcoin miners. It fits the description of very small window hiding.
