Firefox don't handle video sites well
Through the years I have learn that it's wise to have more than one web browser installed and so I got both Firefox and Google Chrome installed on my Linux Ubuntu (12.04) machine.
Firefox have always been good, yes even the better one when it comes to video but a few month ago I discovered that Youtube started to get very slow. The videos buffered bad, the mouse pointer went missing, and everything did get so slow that the web browser did become unusable. And that so low as 360P (html5). That was FF version 40.0.3. Now it's updated to version 41.0.1 but I still got this problems whit "the tube" and now all other video sites works bad as well. I emptied the internet history and so but that did not help. i did restart the browser whiteout plugins but that did not help either.
In the meantime, Google Chrome (now running version 45.0.2454.101 ) handle video sites pretty good. So I wonder: What have happen to FF? Why is it so unusable on videos? i got an old laptop, a HP NC6000 (Linux Mint) and that's no monster but it can handle videos as well. On that computer I got FF version 38.0.
