Why the crazy speedtest results using version 30.0?

more options

ever since I upgraded to 30, I keep getting crazy results when I run any speed test. for example, I have 50Mbs download, 35 Mbs upload service from Verizon FIOS. Sometimes, when I run speakeasy's speed test, I'll get crazy numbers... 54Mbs down / 1.2Mbs up. Or 3Mbs down / 2.8 Mbs up.

When I run the test from IE, I get 58Mbs / 34.9 . What's up with that? I have a couple of screenshots to illustrate this.

But maybe some change around plugins could be affecting the test. I'm not sure where to start in researching that...
